NEW DELHI: In the heat of the ongoing 2025 Delhi Legislative Assembly elections, Swati Singh Verma, wife of BJP candidate Parvesh Verma, shared her strong belief that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will emerge victorious and form the government, but maintained silence on whether her spouse would become the chief minister.
“The results are clear-cut, BJP is coming to power,” she confidently stated while talking to The New Indian.
She also said that the electorate in Delhi has grown disillusioned with AAP’s promises, which she believes have failed to translate into tangible development work.
“The people are really tired of AAP’s promises and lack of development work, so BJP is coming back,” she added.

The key candidates for New Delhi in the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections are Parvesh Verma (BJP), Arvind Kejriwal (AAP), and Sandeep Dikshit (INC). Each has campaigned heavily on issues like governance, education, healthcare, and social welfare.
She also emphasized the need for a pollution-free Delhi, underscoring the importance of a clean, green, and vibrant capital city.
The Verma family’s campaign is heavily inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose leadership, Swati believes, has set the tone for transformative change. “We are believing in what our Prime Minister Modi Ji says. And Modi Ji doesn’t just say it, he does it,” she asserted, emphasizing that the promises made by the BJP are backed by action.

Many voters said that Swati Singh Verma’s words reflect the growing sentiment among many residents of Delhi who feel that the current government has not lived up to expectations.
Shrinivas, who cast his vote at the Nirman Bhawan polling booth, says, “There should be no freebies. I believe in the Double Engine.”
Women, on the other hand, voted with the nation’s welfare in mind. A woman in her 80s says, “The welfare of the country is important.” Her daughter, however, added, “We need to take care of air pollution. That is important.”
As a wife of a candidate representing the BJP, she voiced the party’s focus on issues that matter most to the common people, such as clean water, clean roads, development, and the revival of the Yamuna River.

Swati further added that Delhi’s future under the BJP will be one where the city is not only developed but transformed into the “best capital of the world.”
Her statement echoes the central themes of the BJP’s campaign for the 2025 elections, which aims to create a better quality of life for Delhi’s residents, improve infrastructure, and ensure a cleaner, healthier environment for future generations. If successful, the BJP plans to make Delhi a global leader in urban development and governance.
As election day unfolds, Swati Singh Verma’s firm endorsement of her husband’s vision, coupled with the growing voter dissatisfaction with AAP’s governance, adds to the momentum for the BJP in New Delhi.
The results will soon reveal whether the Verma family’s optimism and the BJP’s promises have resonated with the electorate.
