NEW DELHI – In a momentous celebration of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) third consecutive victory in Haryana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed party workers in Delhi on Tuesday. He emphasized that the triumph of development over what he termed the “knot of lies” was a significant milestone for the state and the party.

PM Modi highlighted the historic nature of the victory, noting that for the first time in Haryana’s history, a government has been re-elected after completing two full consecutive terms. “The victory in Haryana is a testament to the hard work of party workers, JP Nadda, and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini,” Modi said. “Today, the guarantee of development has overpowered the knot of lies. The people of Haryana have made history. Since Haryana was established in 1966, 13 elections have been held, and in 10 of them, the government was changed. But this time, what the people have achieved has never been done before—a government has been re-elected after completing two consecutive five-year terms.”

In addition to celebrating the Haryana victory, PM Modi also addressed the recent polls in Jammu and Kashmir, which took place after a decade. He pointed out that the BJP had emerged as the largest party in the region based on vote share. “Peaceful elections were conducted in Jammu and Kashmir, the votes were counted, and results declared. This is a victory for the Indian Constitution and democracy. The people of Jammu and Kashmir have given their mandate to the National Conference (NC) alliance, and I congratulate them. But if we look at the vote share percentage, the BJP has emerged as the largest party in Jammu and Kashmir,” Modi stated.

Earlier, PM Modi shared a message on X (formerly Twitter), expressing his gratitude to the people of Haryana for delivering a decisive mandate. “I salute the people of Haryana for once again giving a clear majority to the Bharatiya Janata Party. This victory is a testament to the politics of development and good governance. I assure the people that we will leave no stone unturned in fulfilling their aspirations,” read the post.
