NEW DELHI: Kejriwal recently announced that women in Delhi would receive ₹2100 per month under a new scheme. However, the Department of Women and Child Development has contradicted this claim. In a public notice published in national newspapers today, the department clarified: “It is clarified that no such scheme has been notified by the Delhi Government.” The government has urged citizens to rely on official announcements and not be misled by unverified claims.

The blame game has escalated, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accusing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of misleading voters with fraudulent schemes. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva criticized the Delhi government, stating that it was engaging in practices typically associated with digital fraudsters by collecting personal data from citizens, which could be misused.

Sachdeva remarked, “It is a highly unfortunate situation that the Delhi government is doing exactly what digital fraudsters do — collecting people’s personal data, which can be misused. The government is deceiving the public, especially women and senior citizens, by launching schemes without any official notification.”

He further added, “For the first time in history, a Chief Minister and the ruling party, after ten years in power, are circulating false schemes to mislead the public. In order to protect citizens from being misled, the officials had to take their duty seriously and issue a ‘public warning.’”

Sachdeva also called on Chief Minister Atishi Marlena, who holds a constitutional position, to clarify whether the Delhi government has any legally approved “Mahila Samman” or “Sanjeevani” scheme.

Senior BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa also joined the criticism, accusing Kejriwal of making false claims about the schemes. He said, “Arvind Kejriwal has tweeted false claims regarding the ‘Mahila Samman Yojna’ and ‘Sanjeevani Yojna.’ However, the same government’s Department of Women and Child Development has issued a clear public notice stating that no such schemes exist. This proves that Kejriwal’s politics is based on fraud and deception.”

Sirsa further questioned, “I ask Arvind Kejriwal, how long will this deception of misleading the public continue? Stop making these false claims to cover up your failures. The people of Delhi have understood your truth and are now demanding answers.
