NEW DELHI: The highly anticipated movie teaser for โDunkiโ was released on Thursday, marking the first collaboration between Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan and the celebrated director Rajkumar Hirani, the man behind blockbusters like โ3 Idiotsโ and โMunna Bhai MBBS.โ
The teaser created a social media storm as fans eagerly awaited its release. Titled โDrop 1,โ the teaser provided fans with a sneak peek into the world of โDunki.โ While it was already known that Taapsee Pannu was the leading lady, the real surprise came with the revelation of Vicky Kaushalโs character in the film.
The teaser kicks off with a group of people dressed in black crossing a desolate desert. A sharpshooter takes aim at them, and a gunshot transports us back in time. We meet a group of friends from Punjab, including Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and two others, all with dreams of a life in London. Shah Rukhโs character, Hardy, makes a solemn promise to help his friends reach London, no matter what.

Celebrating Shah Rukh Khanโs 58th birthday, the teaser introduced the character of Hardy, played by the superstar himself. In a heartfelt social media message, SRK described โDunkiโ as a story about ordinary people chasing their dreams and desires. It revolves around themes of friendship, love, and togetherness, all set in a place they call home. He expressed his excitement about being a part of this heartwarming journey and invited fans to join him. โDunkiโ is scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide this Christmas.
