NEW DELHI: Amid the political turmoil in Bihar, BJP leader and a minister in the state government Shahnawaz Hussain shared the stage with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday.
On National Handloom Day, an event was organised by the industries department in Patna.
Kumar graced the occasion as the chief guest. Two Bihar deputy chief ministers, Renu Devi and Tarkishore Prasad, both BJP leaders, also participated in the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Kumar said his government had taken a slew of steps to improve the condition of weavers.
Kumar did not attend the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting in Delhi on Sunday. NITI Aayog, in a press conference, said that Bihar chief minister could not attend the meeting in Delhi as he was unwell.
Janata Dal (U) has called a meeting of all its MLAs and MPs in Patna on Tuesday. The Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress have also called a meeting of its leaders in Patna on Tuesday.
