SRINAGAR: Police on Friday said that two terrorists who were involved in the killing of Rahul Bhat at Chadoora were gunned down by the security forces in the Bandipora district of north Kashmir.
Rahul Bhat, a Kashmiri Pandit who worked in the tehsil office, was gunned down by terrorists in Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday. His killing had sparked widespread condemnation. In an unprecedented move in recent times, Pandits came out to the streets in various parts of Kashmir to protest against the gruesome killing.
Superintendent of Police, Cargo, Iftikar Talib told reporters that they were tracking this group for the past two weeks. He said a local terrorist of LeT, Latif Rather, had gone to receive them in Bandipora.
