NEW DELHI: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, has secured new orders worth ₹634 crore since its last update on November 8, 2024. These contracts demonstrate BEL’s growing capabilities in the defence and civilian sectors and cover a range of advanced products and services.
“The major orders include maintenance of Akash Missile System, telescopic sights for guns, communication equipment, jammers, electronic voting machines, test stations, spares, services etc.,” BEL said in a statement.
These new orders have boosted BEL’s total order book for the financial year to ₹8,828 crore. This achievement highlights the company’s strong presence in the defence and electronics sectors and reinforces its commitment to advancing India’s self-reliance in defence manufacturing.

The announcement has positively influenced BEL’s market performance. The company’s shares increased by 1.17%, reaching ₹318.3 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) during early trading on December 10, 2024. This growth reflects investors’ confidence in BEL’s strategic direction and financial strength.
In November 2024, BEL added contracts worth over ₹500 crore for products like laser range finders, vessel communication systems, and gun test equipment. These consecutive wins underscore BEL’s pivotal role in enhancing India’s defence capabilities.
