NEW DELHI: As the Trump family prepares for a return to the White House following Donald Trump’s election victory on November 5, Melania Trump is expected to take on the role of first lady with her signature style. Despite previous controversies, the former model is reportedly poised to bring her unique touch to the holiday season, setting aside her personal feelings if necessary to fulfill her responsibilities.
Sources close to the former first lady, including friends and political insiders from Mar-a-Lago, have revealed that Melania is prepared to lead Christmas traditions on her own terms. One insider explained, “Melania will do what she is asked as first lady but under her own terms, and that includes decorating the White House for the Christmas holidays. She will set her own schedule, make her own rules, and use her own taste. Her son Barron’s needs will come first above everything.”

Melania’s commitment to her family is expected to be a defining factor in her approach this time around. The 54-year-old has always been known for prioritizing Barron’s well-being, and this will remain true as she undertakes the intricate task of holiday decoration. A friend and former ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Robin Bernstein, emphasized that while Melania is committed to making the White House “beautiful and magical,” her son’s presence will influence how much time she dedicates to each project.
Melania’s Christmas duties were once viewed through a critical lens. In 2018, leaked audio recordings revealed her frustrations about the holiday preparations, where she famously said, “I’m working… my a** off on the Christmas stuff… who gives a f*** about the Christmas stuff and decorations?” Despite this, Bernstein assured that Melania’s focus on style and perfection would translate into her White House projects. “She has magical style herself, and that will translate to the White House decorating,” Bernstein said, adding, “I think she will spend the time she needs to make it look perfect.”
