New Delhi: Ajay Banga, president of the World bank, exclaimed with pride and happiness that PM worked very hard to get a consensus on G20 New Delhi Leaders Declaration and claimed that Indiaโs G20 presidency is an absolute success. Banga arrived at the Bharat Mandapam, the venue of G20, to attend the g20 summit.
The New Indian team was there reporting from the ground.
While responding to a reporter on the question of declaration, he said โI am very happy that India was able to get a declaration because I think people were not giving it much chance to get there.โ

He praised Modi and his team for the hard work that was put in to get the consensus. He said, โThe Prime Minister and his team worked very hard to get a consensus.โ

He went ahead to call Indiaโs G20 presidency a success. The World Bank president exclaimed โItโs absolutely a success!โ
The St. Stephenโs Alumni is the first Sikh to become Mastercard CEO and the World Bank president. Banga got the presidency in June this year.
