NEW DELHI: In an exclusive interview with The New Indian’s Executive Editor, Rohan Dua, Avadh Ojha, the prominent educationist and political figure, opened up about his growing influence and commitment to the people of Patparganj.
Ojha disagreed with the notion that he had created a dent in BJP’s prospects. “It’s not a dent,” he said, with firm conviction. “I tell people here that they no longer need to worry about their children.
Today’s children and parents are under a lot of stress. In our time, parents weren’t so stressed. We either played outside, studied, or got scolded by our parents. We didn’t have distractions like TV.”

Reflecting on the stark differences between past and present generations, Ojha went on to say, “In the 1980s, only wealthy households had TVs.”
When Ramayana aired, even then, TVs had shutters, and my mother would lock them after the show. Today, children carry mobile phones into the washroom. If their minds are not given a moment’s rest, won’t they go crazy?”

Ojha believes that this overwhelming distraction is something that needs to be addressed. He continued, “I need to save them from this madness, guide them, and provide free coaching in Patparganj.”
Ojha promised to take care of the children in the constituency, adding, “We’ll prepare them for IIT, IAS, and other exams for free. People of Patparganj know that I’ll take care of their children as well as their needs as their representative.”
