NEW DELHI: After being granted bail and spending five months in jail over the controversial case, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made his first public appearance on Saturday, visiting the Prachin Hanuman Mandir in Connaught Place.

Accompanied by his wife, Sunita Kejriwal, the Chief Minister sought blessings from Lord Bajrang Bali, marking a pivotal moment in his political journey.

Joined by senior AAP leaders, including Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and Saurabh Bharadwaj, Kejriwal offered prayers at the temple, receiving a traditional tilak and sacred items from the temple Mahant.

He later shared a video on his official X handle, “Today, along with my wife and other companions, I worshipped Lord Hanuman and sought his blessings. In this fight against injustice, Hanuman Ji’s blessings have always been with us. I prayed for everyone’s happiness and prosperity.”

AAP also shared photos and videos of the event on their X handle, highlighting the collective prayers for the country’s well-being. Sisodia, sharing Kejriwal’s sentiments, credited divine grace for their resilience, saying, “It is because of Hanuman ji’s blessings that we stand strong today.”

Following this spiritual visit, Kejriwal, accompanied by his wife and senior AAP leaders, met senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi at his residence. Singhvi has been representing Kejriwal and other AAP leaders in the excise policy case, where they were recently granted bail by the Supreme Court.

“Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his wife met the senior most lawyer of the country Abhishek Manu Singhvi who provided legal help to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in his fight against conspiracies of the dictator, at his residence,” AAP said in the post.

The meeting, which included key party figures such as Sanjay Singh and Raghav Chadha, was seen as an expression of gratitude for Singhvi’s legal support.

AAP shared a photo of the meeting on X, thanking Singhvi for standing by Kejriwal in his “fight against the conspiracies of the dictator.”
