JAMMU: An army jawan was wounded during a dawn assault by terrorists on a local army guard station in Galuthi hamlet, located in the Manjakote region of Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir. The incident occurred around 4 am on Sunday.
The terrorists exchanged gunfire with the soldiers defending the station for about 30 minutes. Authorities told The New Indian, “The Army Jawan was hurt in the crossfire that lasted nearly half an hour, but the terrorists managed to escape into the adjacent woodland.”
In response, security personnel have launched a thorough search operation to capture the terrorists who had fled into the nearby wooded area.

On Saturday, at least four terrorists were neutralized, and two soldiers lost their lives in separate encounters in the Kulgam district of Kashmir Valley. The gunfight occurred in the Frisal Chinnigam and Modergam regions of the southern Kashmir district.
On June 26, three terrorists were eliminated during a confrontation with security forces in the Doda district Of Jammu. A shootout ensued after the Army surrounded a hideout with four terrorists, resulting in three fatalities.
The Army eliminated another terrorist in a firefight in the Aragam area of Bandipora district of Kashmir on June 17, and dual terrorist attacks took place in Doda, Jammu on June 11 and 12.
