Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt gave birth to a baby girl today after she was admitted at the Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai. She arrived at 7.30 am for the delivery.
Bhatt married actor Ranbir Kapoor in April this year in a ceremony at their Mumbai residence Vastu and in June, following which Alia announced her pregnancy on her social media page.
The last few months have been all about celebration for the couple. Be it the intimate Diwali Puja of the Kapoor household, or the baby shower of which members of both the families were part, the family has been together through these few months.
Her baby shower ceremony was attended by Kapoors and Bhatts, including Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima, Karisma, Shweta Bachchan, Soni Razdan, Shaheen Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt and others.

On the work front the actress has been hailed for working through her pregnancy. It was during her pregnancy that she did the heavy-lifting of turning a producer with Darlings, in which she played the victim of domestic abuse. Right after that she jumped into the promotions of Bhrahmastra, where she was appearing for the first time with her husband Kapoor.
She also shot her first Hollywood project Heart of Stone while pregnant. Alia Bhatt will be making her Hollywood debut with the , which also stars Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. The action spy thriller is coming to Netflix in 2023.
