Opting for an immediate solution, he decided to ingest the chemical meant for exterminating rats. However, his decision backfired, and he was rushed to the hospital.
In a desperate plea, he called his wife and urged her to join him at the hospital, fearing for his life.

Reportedly, the neighbourhood was familiar with the man’s daily alcohol-fueled assaults on his wife. She finally took a defiant stand when she refused to let him indulge in his vice. Threatening to involve the authorities, she prevented her husband from consuming alcohol.

Anjana Devi, the distressed wife, recounted the series of events, “Late into Tuesday evening, my husband failed to return home, and worry consumed me. My daughter and I scoured the village for nearly an hour, desperately searching for him. Eventually, he called us himself, revealing that he had consumed rat poison and had been admitted to the hospital.”
“It’s been a tumultuous journey in our 15-year marriage, marked by his incessant alcoholism and ensuing fights. When I try to prevent him from drinking, it often escalates into physical violence,” she added.
