New Delhi: Amidst the incarceration of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar jail, former UP Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party Supremo Akhilesh Yadav visited Delhi Minister Atishi at LNJP Hospital on Wednesday, demonstrating the unity of the INDIA alliance.

Atishi had been on an indefinite Jal Satyagraha, protesting the water crisis in Delhi, when her condition deteriorated, leading to her hospitalization. Admitted to the ICU, her condition was initially critical but has since stabilized, though she remains hospitalized.

Akhilesh Yadav’s visit aimed to show solidarity with the AAP government. During the visit AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and MLA Dilip Pandey were present.

During the hospital visit, Atishi and Yadav had an extensive conversation. Yadav later addressed the media, criticizing the BJP government.

“I came here to inquire about the health of Water Minister Atishi. She is brave and knows how to fight. She has been fighting for the people of Delhi. Since the BJP government came to power at the centre, Chief Minister Kejriwal’s government has not been receiving the required support. They have done the greatest injustice to Arvind Kejriwal. He has once again been implicated in a false case so that he cannot come out and reach the people,” said Akhilesh Yadav.
