NEW DELHI: Adam Sandler is set to make a triumphant return as Happy Gilmore in the long-awaited sequel, Happy Gilmore 2, which will premiere on Netflix on July 25, 2025. Nearly three decades after the original film’s release in 1996, this sequel promises to bring back the charm, humor, and heart that made the first movie a cult classic.

The teaser trailer has already generated significant buzz, showing an older and slightly out-of-practice Happy Gilmore stepping back onto the golf course. The storyline revolves around Happy rediscovering his passion for the sport while facing off against a new generation of competitors. The film also explores fresh comedic scenarios, with opulent settings like a grand mansion adding to the humor.

Fans will be delighted to see familiar faces returning to the screen. Julie Bowen reprises her role as Virginia Venit, Happy’s love interest, while Christopher McDonald is back as the iconic antagonist Shooter McGavin. Ben Stiller also returns as Hal L., adding another layer of nostalgia.
