CHANDIGARH: After months of keeping the political watchers in suspense, Bollywood actor Sonu Sood’s sister on Monday joined Congress in presence of Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu and chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi.
CM Charanjit Singh Channi tweeted: “Welcoming Malvika Sood Sachar, sister of Social Worker & Actor, @SonuSood , into the party-fold. I am sure Malvika will serve the people with full honesty and integrity and help spread the message of the Congress party at the grass-root level.”

Punjab will vote in a single phase on February 14. The votes will be counted on March 10.
The actor Sonu Sood, hit the news during the Covid crisis and earned rich praise for his social work.
In the past month, Sood has held separate meetings with the Punjab chief minister Channi as well as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal.

Sood, who comes from Moga in Punjab was expecting ticket for his social worker sister Malvika Sood from Moga assembly segment. During a press conference, Sonu Sood was totally tight lipped over the announcement of party.
