NEW DELHI: AAP MP Sanjay Singh has given a notice of suspension of business under section 267 in Rajya Sabha to discuss the issues of the use of agencies (CBI and ED) to trap the leaders of AAP and other opposition party leaders.

Sanjay Singh said, “I want to bring a notice that the central government is trying to stop Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for the work in which the Delhi government is getting huge profit… Central government is using the CBI and ED to trap the leaders of opposition parties. This is an attempt to weaken democracy.”

Delhi LG VK Saxena last week recommended an inquiry into the Delhi Liquor Policy 2021-22 implemented by the AAP led Delhi Government. Sisodia is also the Excise Minister of the Delhi government.

Sources from the LG office have said that there were violations of various rules and “deliberate and gross procedural lapses to provide post tender giving undue benefits to liquor licensees”.

Singh said Sisodia has brought the revolution in the field of education. “Today in Delhi, more than 18 lakh students are getting international standard education because of the efforts of Sisodia.”
