AAP MLA Prosecution: Party Says PM Scared Of Kejriwal

NEW DELHI: After the LG Vinai Kumar Saxena granted sanction to prosecute Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan in case of illegal appointments in Delhi Waqf Board, AAP said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scared of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s rise and that’s why levelling baseless allegations against the leaders the CM and AAP party leaders.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is so scared of CM Arvind Kejriwal’s rise in Indian political arenas that he gets horrified by the thought of AAP even in his dreams,” the party said in a statement.

The case against Khan and his associates was registered by the CBI in 2016. Delhi LG on Sunday gave sanction to prosecute Okhla MLA and his associate Mehboob Alam.

The party in its statement further said, “The Prime Minister and the BJP have started hating the Kejriwal Government’s world-renowned work so much that they have started to put totally crass and baseless allegations upon the party and its leaders…”

“We completely anticipate and expect many more such allegations to come up in the coming days. But the Kejriwal government stands unfazed and will not deter on its mission to serve the people of Delhi,” said in the statement.
