Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Spokesperson and Delhi Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj on Monday congratulated Punjab’s AAP government and police for taking decisive action against gangsters, drug smugglers, and terrorists in the border state.
Praising the Mann administration for taking action against fugitive Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh and other members of Waris Punjab De, Bharadwaj said that the AAP government has a zero-tolerance policy towards any type of disturbance. “This message has been clearly demonstrated through their decisive actions. Those who questioned the ability of the AAP government to handle law and order in a border state have been proven wrong,” he said.
The AAP government’s commitment to maintaining law and order in Punjab has been unwavering from day one, and it implemented strict measures to ensure that criminals and troublemakers are brought to justice swiftly, he said. “We are committed to ensuring the safety, peace, and well-being of the people of Punjab, and we will not make any compromises on our responsibilities,” he added.
Since taking power in Punjab a year ago, the AAP government has made significant strides in maintaining law and order in the state. The government’s strict actions against criminals, increased police presence in vulnerable areas, and implementation of several initiatives to combat gang violence, drug smuggling, and terrorism have resulted in highly successful outcomes. Saurabh Bhardwaj shared that the AAP government has taken bold steps to eradicate these evils from the state. “We have received an outpouring of support from citizens in India and beyond,” he said.
He added, “During my interactions with people in Delhi recently, I have received overwhelming support for the work being done by the AAP government in Punjab. Even those who were once opposed to our party are now acknowledging the positive impact we are having on the state.” He shared the sentiments of a gentleman from Haryana he had met who had been a long-time BJP supporter but has now switched sides being impressed by the AAP government’s work in Punjab.
AAP Senior Leader and Delhi Education Minister Atishi said, “The action taken by the CM Bhagwant Mann in Punjab in the last two days has sent a message across the country that if anyone tries to disrupt the peace, strict action will be taken against them. The action of the Punjab government has silenced those who believed that the AAP government would not be able to handle the police system and the border state.”
She said the AAP government does not compromise with those who disrupt the peace. The AAP government has a ‘zero tolerance’ policy for such miscreants.”
