NEW DELHI: Delhi Government Minister Atishi has alleged that the district president of the BJP demolished the Delhi Jal Board office in the Chhatarpur area.
Earlier in the day, the BJP staged a Matka Phod Protest against the AAP government over the water crisis. The protest was held at the DJB office. Later, it was reported that a DJB office in Chhatarpur was vandalized by unknown persons. AAP has now blamed the BJP workers for the vandalism.
“This is the district president of BJP Yuva Morcha, Dheeraj Singh Rajput. Today, he, along with Ramesh Bidhuri, has vandalised the Chhatarpur office of the Delhi Jal Board. I hope that @DelhiPolice will file an FIR against them today itself,” Atishi posted on X.

Atishi further said, “So you all saw that the person who attacked the Delhi Jal Board office in Chhatarpur was none other than BJP’s former South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri, who went inside the DJB office with goons. You saw that all the people with him were wearing BJP sashes, BJP flags were visible in the background, and BJP workers, or should I say BJP goons, were throwing pots in the Delhi Jal Board office, breaking glasses, breaking the office.”
“We have complained about the attack to the Delhi Police. I’ve shared the video of the attack with the DCP of South Delhi Police. Now we will wait and see if the police file the complaint against Bidhuri or not,” she added.
Delhi BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri said that it was natural and that people could do anything when they were angry.
“I am grateful to the BJP workers who controlled those people… It is the government’s and people’s property. There is no benefit in damaging this property,” he said. Meanwhile, Delhi Police also inspected the area where the leakage was reported. The team said that they didn’t find any leakage.
