The New Indian has learnt that the Delhi Police will approach dating app Bumble for information on the number of girls Aaftab Amin Poonawala dated after murdering and chopping off the body of his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar in May.

The Delhi Police will seek the details of his entire dating profile.

It is reliably learnt that Poonawalla was dating other girls on the dating app Bumble and at least one of them visited him in his residence in Mehrauli, Delhi when Walkar’s minced body was in the fridge.

Walkar had also met Aftab on Bumble app back in 2019.

As per local Manikpur police in Vasai, Shraddha, a Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM) graduate, was working in a call centre in Malad and met Aaftab through Bumble, a dating app, in 2019.

What has also emerged is the cold-blooded nature of the crime. Aaftab operated Sharaddha’s insta account till June to give an impression that she was alive.

Delhi Police is searching for Shraddha’s mobile phone that he dumped after killing her.

Police is also searching the weapon of murder that was used for chopping her body.

Shraddha was trapped in a toxic relationship with Aaftab. As per reports he mentally tortured her and physically assaulted her several times. He also threatened to commit suicide if she left her.

According to the police, Aftab strangled Shraddha on May 18 following a tiff. With the calmness of a professional killer, Aftab first put the dead body in the bathroom and waited for the night to think about what should be done for its disposal.

After spending the night with Shraddha’s corpse, Aftab bought a refrigerator and an iron saw on May 19. With the precision of a chef, Aftab then chopped the body parts into 35 pieces. Each body part was wrapped separately in black plastic bags. He kept the bags in the refrigerator.
