SIA seizes mobile devices and documents in ongoing investigation of Kashmiri Pandit’s murder

Jammu and Kashmir SIA's fourth round of raids advances justice in Sanjay Sharma killing

SRINAGAR: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted raids in three districts of south Kashmir on Wednesday, seizing vital evidence in the murder case of Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma.

The raids, which were the fourth round of searches conducted by SIA since it took over the investigation of the case from Pulwama Police, were carried out in seven locations across the districts of Anantnag, Shopian, and Pulwama.

According to a statement issued by SIA, mobile devices and incriminating documents were seized during the raids.

The agency said that the case will be submitted for judicial determination soon and reiterated its commitment to upholding the rule of law and bringing the perpetrators of the gruesome murder of Sanjay Sharma to justice.

Sanjay Sharma, a bank ATM guard, was shot dead by terrorists in Achan, Pulwama in February this year. The killing sparked outrage and protests across the valley.
