There is increasing pressure in the US to restrict the use of TikTok, and the Montana House has recently voted 54-43 in favour of banning the popular short-form video app from operating in the state.

The bill, called SB 419, would prohibit mobile app stores from offering TikTok for download to users in Montana, with potential fines for TikTok, Apple, and Google if they violate the ban.
