Rajkumar Santhoshi will again make Kesari; says Akshay Kumar's film didn't do justice to the Battle of Saragarhi

Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi is returning after a hiatus of 8 years. He is the director of the film 'Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh'.

The film stars Chinmay Mandlekar as Nathuram Godse while Deepak Antani plays Mahatma Gandhi. The film will release on January 26, India's republic day.

In an interview he revealed that he will another film on 1897 Battle of Saragharhi because Akshay Kumar's film which was directed by Anurag Singh failed to do justice to the topic.

He said he was already working on the film but his financers got scared when they saw a big-star backing the film. He says he was making the film because he has immense respect for the sikh community.

He said he had already started shooting for the film but it was stalled. Made on a budget of Rs 80 crore Akshay Kumar's film released March 2019 and made crossed the Rs 200 crore mark at the Box office.
