Maharana Pratap death anniversary how he protected Mewar from Mughal attack

Maharana Pratap was born on May 9, 1540, he had taken the glory of Rajputs to a supreme level.

He fought against Mughal emperor Akbar.

Maharana Pratap never compromised on his pride and he never gave up no matter how adverse the circumstances were.

The most prominent battle which he fought was the Battle of HaldiGhati on 8 June 1576 AD.

Maharana Pratap's army of about 3,000 horsemen and 400 Bhil archers defeated about 5,000 men under the leadership of Raja Man Singh of Amer.

The army of 10,000 people was made to chew iron gram.

When Maharana Pratap's army was destroyed in this war, he had to hide in the forest and started trying to gather his strength again.

Pratap resorted to guerilla tactics. This strategy was completely successful and they never came in the hands of Akbar's soldiers.

Maharana Pratap started regaining his lost kingdoms in the battle of Divar.
