Terror duo arrested in Delhi Raises concerns on growing extremism

Two terror suspects who were arrested  by the Delhi Police under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) on Thursday, have revealed that they murdered a boy, chopped off his head, made a video of the act and sent it to their Pakistani handler to prove their loyalty. They were also given Rs 2 lakh for their act, said police sources.

The New Indian has accessed the exclusive details of the alleged crime that Naushad Ali, 56 and Jagjit Singh alias Jagga, 29, committed at their rented house in Delhi’s Bhalswa Dairy area on December 16, 2022. Naushad and Jagga dumped the body parts of the youth in the Bhalswa drain in northwest Delhi on the same day, said sources.

They also made a video of the act and sent it to one Pakistan-based Sohail, their supposed handler. They wanted to prove their capacity for brutality and their allegiance. In return, Naushad also received Rs 2 lakh from Sohail in his bank account via his brother-in-law based in Qatar

The Delhi Police on Saturday recovered some body parts from the drain. The team of Delhi Police and FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) found traces of blood from the rented house of both the terror suspects in Shradhanand Colony of Bhalswa Dairy area.

Police said Naushad had been associated with terrorist outfit ‘Harkat-ul- Ansar’, has been convicted in two murder cases and undergone 10 years sentence under Explosive Act.
