Rishabh Shetty’s Kantara qualified for Oscars 2023 Best Picture and Best Actor

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Monday announced the list of 301 films that are eligible for the 95th Academy Awards

Featuring in the list does not guarantee that the film will advance in the final nominations of the Academy Awards, to be announced on January 24.

Rishab Shetty who is the actor and director of the film, took to Twitter after hearing the news, he wrote: “We are overjoyed to share that ‘Kantara’ has received 2 Oscar qualifications!”

Kantara is a period drama set against the backdrop of a small hamlet that shares borders with a forest.
