The Kashmir files is a “propaganda” and “vulgar” film comment of Israeli screenwriter, Nadav Lapid, and the IFFI 2022 jury has sparked controversy.

The Kashmir Files was a controversial film when it was released and is still courting it.

On November 28, at the 53rd International Film Festival of India after the jury head’s comment, Swara Bhaskar came to his support.

She tweeted:  Apparently it is very clear to the world…

Israel's ambassador to India, Naor Gilon and Daniel Carmon, former Israel Ambassador to India demanded an apology from Lapid.

They said that Lapid’s comment was “unfortunate” and he should be “ashamed” for it.

TKF director Vivek Agnihotri tweeted: Truth is the most dangerous thing. It can make people liars.

Filmmaker, Ashok Pandit tweeted: Making Navad Lapid the head of the IFFI jury was the biggest mistake. For this the filmmaker even blamed the ministry.

Actor Ranvir Shorey termed Lapid's statement as wrong.

The Kashmir Files was released on OOTT on March 11, 2022 and as on 28 April 2022, the film, which cost approximately ₹15- Rs 25 crore to make had grossed ₹340.92 crore.
