Musk on November 20, reinstated former US president Donald Trump’s twitter account after a 22-month ban.

However, Trump said he has no interest in returning to Twitter and added that he will continue with his new platform, Truth Social which is doing “phenomenally well”.

On Saturday, Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter, started a poll as he asked: "Reinstate former President Trump?"

More than 14 million Twitter users as of 5 p.m EST on Saturday had voted in Musk's poll, with 51.9% in favour of bringing Trump back.

Trump was banned for his tweets following January 6, 2021, riots in Capitol Hill.

A mob attacked the building following then–U.S. President Donald Trump's defeat in the 2020 presidential election.

However, Trump had asked the rioters to go back, Twitter feared that any more tweets from Trumo will fuel the riots.
