BSP Member of Parliament Kunwar Danish Ali on Sunday pointed out that there is a high possibility that the 2024 general election will result in the formation of a United Front government at the Centre.
While there is still ample time for the 2024 general election, the political parties have already started setting their targets for it.
Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Member of Parliament Kunwar Danish Ali on Sunday pointed out that there is a high possibility that the 2024 general election will result in the formation of a United Front government at the Centre.
The BSP MP from Amroha was addressing a gathering of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh.
Ali was in Saudi Arabia for an event hosted by the India Islamic Cultural Center’s overseas chapter. Ali was also recognised for his outstanding performance in Parliament.
While the party is a pale shadow of its halcyon days when its supremo, Mayawati, ruled the roost. Now, the party has just one representative in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly – Umashankar Singh, who represents Rasara in the Ballia district.
The BSP, however, has 10 MPs in Lok Sabha, including party chief Mayawati. While his party is struggling to stay afloat, Ali is trying to put up a brave front as he drums up support for his party and its chief.
Elaborating his claim of the UF government coming to power in the centre, Ali further stated, “The winds are starting to change. BJP allies are rapidly quitting the NDA. This is expected to accelerate in the coming days as the BJP allies are not ready to trust them anymore.”
Ali further added that while the BJP had won almost all the seats in states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka in previous elections, now the situation is changing.
Ali prophesized that the BJP was going to suffer a huge setback in all these states as well as in West Bengal and Assam. “If a united front of non-BJP parties is formed, then I do not see any obstacle to forming a non-BJP government at the Centre,” Danish said.
Meanwhile, wooing the Indian diaspora, Ali called them the ambassadors of India and Saudi Arabia. “You people here are working very hard and contributing a lot to the Indian economy. Your contribution is playing a vital role in strengthening the rupee as you send $5 billion every year.”
He further said, “You just focus on your work and should not be worried about the current political situation. Let us trust the wisdom of the electorate, and soon change will certainly happen. We will together make a better society to live in with the honour and dignity we deserve.”
At another event, Ali was honoured by the Jamia Millia Islamia Alumni Association in Riyadh for his outstanding contributions to the Parliament and public life. Ali is an alumnus of Jamia Millia Islamia.
Earlier, in recognition of his distinguished service in public life, Ali was also felicitated in Dammam by the AMU Alumni Association.
