Bipasha and Karan had earlier in an interview said that the duo had been trying to have a baby since before the COVID-19 pandemic. But as the pandemic hit, they stopped trying. They started trying again in 2021, she said.

Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh announced their pregnancy in August this year. Their photos of pregnancy together had taken social media by storm.

Posting images of their pregnancy shoot, the duo once wrote the same post: “A new time, a new phase, a new light adds another unique shade to our prism of life. Making us a little more whole than we used to be. We began this life individually and then we met each other and from then we were two. Too much love for only two, seemed a little unfair for us to see…so soon, we who once were two will now become three. A creation manifested by our love, our baby will join us soon and add to our glee.”

Bipasha and Karan got married on on April 30, 2016. They got together on the sets of their 2015 film ‘Alone’. Recently, Bipasha was on bed rest because she was feeling the pre-birth fatigue ahead of her due date.

She had shared a picture of herself tucked in bed and written on Instagram, “Bedrest ain’t fun when you have so much work to do before baby arrives. Telling myself to just chill… just chill.”
