Actors, Anupam Kher and Boman Irani in a recent interview bashed viewers who don't appreciate Sooraj Barjatya's films

Kher told media that Barjatya makes films  that depict "Indian culture" and at a certain point some "uncool people" decided to slot them as sanskari (traditional) "because they could not deal with it, he said."

Kher and Irani are coming together in his upcoming film, Uunchai.

"Barjatya's production house is Rajshri Productions is a treasure, they have made 60 films in 75 years," said Kher.

He went on to say, those people who think this, they are not even as good as his shoe.

Barjatya made his directorial debut with 1989 film Maine Pyaar Kiya.

Other films he has made are Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), Vivah (2006) & Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015).
