Kangana Ranaut is hoping to come back to Twitter now that Elon Musk has taken over the company.

In May 2021 Twitter banned Ranaut's account for putting out a "hateful" video demanding President's rule in West Bengal.

Musk is facing a lot of flak for his decision to charge $8 a month from verified users who have blue ticks.

But Manikarnika actress took to Instagram siding with him, "Paying a certain amount to maintain a Twitter account will only help it build its integrity, there are no free lunches in this world," she wrote.

Her concern was directed at the sustenance of these platforms that public can access freely.

She wrote: "They don't just sell data, they make you a part of them, influence you and then sell you (your voice, consciousness) every single minute of the day, and that's why there is no free will in such platforms...

She said it's not such a bad idea to try to build a self-sustaining social media platform...

Her long Instagram post read, "it is easy to arm-twist a bankrupt company even if it intends to hold a high-value system sooner or later it will have a price tag."
