PM Modi Dials Israeli PM Bennett, Wishes Him Speedy Recovery From Covid-19

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday spoke on telephone with his Israeli counterpart Naftali Bennett, who contracted Covid-19 last week, and enquire about his health. The two leaders also discussed the Ukraine war and other geopolitical issues.

The Israeli prime minister was supposed to arrive in New Delhi on April 3 on a 3-day visit to India.

During the telephonic conversation, PM Modi conveyed his best wishes to Prime Minister Bennett for early recovery from the disease. PM Modi expressed his condolences for the loss of lives in a wave of terror attacks in the Middle Eastern nation.

The two leaders had a detailed discussion on recent geo-political developments, including the situation in Ukraine. During the conversation, the leaders reviewed ongoing bilateral cooperation initiatives.

PM Modi appealed to PM Bennett to visit India at an early date.

Bennett assumed the Prime Minister’s office in June, 2021, replacing Benjamin Netanyahu. The two Prime Ministers met in CoP 26 in Glasgow, Scotland in November 2021, and had spoken over telephone on August 16, 2021.
