The Jammu region, including Kishtwar and Doda, has witnessed sporadic terrorist activity in recent months as Pakistan-backed operatives attempt to disrupt the region’s peace. Intelligence inputs suggest that several foreign terrorists, predominantly Pakistanis, are active in these districts and have carried out acts of violence.

Security forces have been conducting extensive search operations in Kishtwar and surrounding areas to track and eliminate the threats. Some terrorists have already been neutralized in recent encounters, officials reported.

A senior police officer told The New Indian that “ Efforts are ongoing to ensure the safety and stability of the region, with police and security forces committed to dismantling terror networks and preventing further infiltration.”
