NEW DELHI: In a shocking incident that unfolded in the early hours of today, actor Saif Ali Khan was involved in a confrontation with a suspected intruder at his residence in Mumbai. According to the Mumbai Police, the suspect allegedly attempted to enter the room of Saif’s young son, Jeh, which led to a violent altercation.
The suspect, identified as a 30-year-old man, was apprehended at the scene after a brief struggle with Saif, who reportedly acted swiftly to protect his family. Authorities say that the suspect gained access to the property by scaling the walls, and it was only when he approached Jeh’s room that Saif noticed the intrusion.

Sources from the police department have confirmed that Saif, who was at home with his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and their children, confronted the suspect to prevent any harm to his son. The actor, known for his calm demeanour, was reportedly quick to retaliate in defence, physically subduing the intruder before alerting security personnel and the police.
“The suspect tried to enter the child’s room, which was immediately noticed by Saif Ali Khan. The actor acted in defence of his family and was able to neutralize the situation before law enforcement arrived,” said a Mumbai Police spokesperson.
While no one was harmed in the incident, the suspect sustained minor injuries during the altercation. The individual has been arrested and charged with attempted burglary and trespassing. Police have launched a further investigation to determine the motive behind the intrusion, although no connection to any prior criminal activity or personal grievances has been established so far.

Saif, who is known for his devotion to his family, expressed relief that his loved ones were unharmed. “I am grateful that everyone is safe. My priority is always the safety of my family, and I acted in the moment to protect them,” the actor shared in a brief statement.

Meanwhile, fans and well-wishers have expressed their support for Saif and his family, commending his bravery and quick thinking in the face of danger.
