NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Sri Radha Madanmohanji Temple, a major ISKCON project in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.Spanning nine acres, the temple complex includes deities, a Vedic education centre, a healing centre, and a museum inspired by the Ramayana and Mahabharata, aiming to promote peace and universal harmony through Vedic teachings.
Addressing the gathering, PM Modi expressed gratitude for the blessings of ISKCON saints and the teachings of Srila Prabhupada Swami, ISKCON’s founder. He emphasized that the temple reflects India’s deep spiritual heritage, rooted in the philosophy of “Eko Aham Bahu Syam.” He also noted the inclusion of a garden inspired by Vrindavan’s sacred forests.

The Prime Minister fondly remembered Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj, whose vision played a key role in the project. He highlighted Srila Prabhupada Swami’s global legacy, recalling how he launched ISKCON at the age of 70, spreading Krishna consciousness worldwide and inspiring millions. “ISKCON unites devotees through its teachings and devotion to Lord Krishna,” said PM Modi, adding that this spirit continues to influence lives globally.

The Prime Minister urged ISKCON to support the Krishna Circuit, a government initiative connecting pilgrimage sites across India and encouraged devotees to visit at least five such locations. He praised ISKCON’s role in inspiring youth to combine spirituality with modernity, ensuring a balance between tradition and innovation.
The inauguration was attended by Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and other dignitaries.
