NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its third list of candidates for the upcoming Delhi Legislative Assembly elections 2025, scheduled for February 5. This latest announcement features a single candidate: Mohan Singh Bisht, who will contest the Mustafabad constituency.
Mohan Singh Bisht, a seasoned politician and six-time MLA, initially expressed dissatisfaction after being denied a ticket from his traditional stronghold, Karawal Nagar. The BJP had chosen to field Kapil Mishra, a former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, in that constituency. Bisht publicly criticized the party’s decision, labeling it a “big mistake” and suggesting it could have adverse effects on the election results.

In response to Bisht’s concerns, senior BJP leaders, including party chief JP Nadda, engaged in discussions to address the situation.
