NEW DELHI: Renowned educator Avadh Ojha officially joined the party in the presence of its National Convenor, Arvind Kejriwal. At a ceremony held at AAP’s headquarters on Monday, Ojha, popularly known as the “IAS Guru,” was inducted as a key ally in AAP’s vision to transform India’s education system.

Kejriwal lauded Ojha’s impactful career in education, highlighting his motivational work and dedication to empowering students. “Avadh Ojha has inspired millions of students and prepared them for meaningful lives.

His addition to AAP will strengthen not just the party but the entire education sector,” said Kejriwal. He underscored AAP’s achievements, such as the increase in government school students qualifying for IIT-JEE Mains, which rose from 15 in 2015 to 783 in 2024.

Ojha, an influential figure in education since 2005, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work with AAP, citing his commitment to making quality education accessible for all.

“Education is the soul of a nation, and AAP has already demonstrated what transformative leadership can achieve,” Ojha said, referencing Delhi’s remarkable improvements in government school outcomes. He reiterated his belief that education is a powerful tool for societal change.

Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia praised Ojha’s dedication to education, stating, “Avadh Ojha’s passion aligns with AAP’s mission to reform education at a national level.” Sisodia emphasized the party’s continued focus on education as a cornerstone of nation-building.
