Workshop on leadership, politics, and governance held by the Indian Democratic Leadership Institute in Chennai

NEW DELHI: A significant workshop on Leadership, Politics, and Governance took place at the C.P. Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation Hall in Chennai. This event, organized by the Indian Institute of Democratic Leadership (IIDL) in collaboration with the Hindoi Samuday Foundation, aimed to engage individuals interested in politics and governance and to discuss their roles in societal development. The workshop also highlighted the need for the Indianization of the education system.

The workshop attracted a diverse audience, including aspiring politicians, students, and professionals keen on contributing to the political landscape of India. The discussions revolved around how these individuals can actively participate in politics and governance, and the various challenges they may encounter in their journeys.

 

 

Tamil Nadu BJP State Secretary, Meenakshi Nithyasundar, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In her address, she provided valuable insights into youth politics, emphasizing the importance of young people’s involvement in the political process. She shared her experiences and challenges, offering a firsthand account of her political journey. Mrs. Nithyasundar’s speech was particularly inspiring to the young aspirants present, as she encouraged them to remain steadfast and committed to their goals despite the obstacles they might face.

“Engaging in politics is not merely about holding positions of power; it’s about being an active participant in the process of nation-building,” she stated. “Young people must bring their energy, innovation, and dedication to the political arena to drive meaningful change.”

Throughout the day, various sessions were conducted by experts in the fields of politics, governance, and education. One of the key points of discussion was the Indianization of the education system, where speakers underscored the necessity of incorporating Indian values, history, and perspectives into the curriculum to better prepare future leaders.

At the conclusion of the workshop, participants were awarded certificates, recognizing their engagement and commitment to learning about leadership and governance. The certificate distribution ceremony marked the end of a fruitful day of knowledge-sharing and networking.
