After voting, the office of Uddhav Thackeray tweeted, “Party Chief Hon. Mr. Uddhavsaheb Thackeray, Mrs. Rashmivahini Thackeray, Yuva Sena chief Shiv Sena leader MLA Aditya Thackeray, and Tejas Thackeray exercised their right to vote in Bandra East today.” Aaditya Thackeray tweeted, “We voted. Deported looters from Maharashtra! Did you vote too?”

In this constituency, Arvind Sawant of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) is contesting against Yamini Jadhav of Shiv Sena. As of 11 am today, the voter turnout in Maharashtra was 15.9%.
Arvind Ganpat Sawant of Shiv Sena has been the incumbent from Mumbai South since 2014. His margin and vote share increased during the 2019 general election.
Forty-nine Lok Sabha constituencies are voting today for their representatives. With 13 out of 48 of Maharashtra’s constituencies voting today, Phase 5 marks the end of the Lok Sabha polls in the State. All constituencies in and around Mumbai are polling today. Mumbai is made up of six Lok Sabha constituencies.
In the last general election, BJP won three seats: Mumbai North, Mumbai North East, and Mumbai North Central. Shiv Sena won three seats: Mumbai North West, Mumbai South Central, and Mumbai South.
In Maharashtra, the Bhartiya Janata Party, Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party, and Rashtriya Samaj Paksha are part of the National Democratic Alliance. BJP is contesting 28 seats, Shiv Sena 15 seats, NCP 4 seats, and Rashtriya Samaj Paksha 1 seat.

Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) is contesting 21 seats, Indian National Congress (INC) 17 seats, and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) 10 seats. These parties are part of the INDIA bloc.
Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed on May 20 due to voting. Result of this general election will be announced on Jun 4.
