NEW DELHI: The city of Ayodhya lit up on the occasion of Ram temple’s consecration ceremony, performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with various esteemed dignitaries and invitees from all sections of society. Chairman of Hero Enterprise Sunil Kant Munjal also marked his presence in front of Lord Ram and sought his blessings.
The New Indian’s Executive Editor Rohan Dua, who was officially invited to the event, spoke to Munjal who described the spiritual affair as a matter of “wonderment and excitement”. Munjal, who is also the founder of India’s Serendipity Arts Festival and the chairman of the board of governors of The Doon School, said, “I think it is a matter of wonderment and excitement for the entire country, not just the industry, for all citizens of India.”

He also said that the moment has finally arrived when Hindus can call Ayodhya Lord Ram’s home. He told TNI, “As people who have watched the developments over the many decades and waited as a nation for 500 years, it is truly an occasion which is special, of wonderment and rejoicing. It is an occasion to celebrate Indianness and celebrate the ability of Indians and Hindus to call Ram’s home, truly his home. I think every Indian would really like to visit this place once in his life.

“It is certainly a joyous occasion like I said. Indians of all backgrounds, religions, faiths came together to celebrate this. The scale of the event was phenomenal, the organisation was done wonderfully, and coming in here in the morning was so smooth despite the many checks put in the way. I will definitely bring my family here.”
