NEW DELHI: In a shocking and distressing incident, acclaimed actor Shreyas Talpade, aged 47, collapsed after suffering a heart attack immediately following the completion of his shoot in Mumbai on Thursday evening. The actor, known for his notable contributions to Hindi and Marathi cinema, was swiftly rushed to Bellevue Hospital in Andheri West, where he underwent angioplasty.
Contrary to expectations, a source, requesting anonymity, revealed that Talpade had displayed no signs of distress throughout the day while shooting for the underproduction multi-starring film, “Welcome to the Jungle.” The source shared that the actor was not only in high spirits but also engaged in light-hearted banter with the crew. Remarkably, he even participated in sequences involving action. However, upon returning home, Talpade informed his wife of feeling uneasy, prompting an urgent trip to the hospital, where he tragically collapsed en route. The hospital confirmed his admission, stating that he was brought in late in the evening, with an awaited health update.
