2 terror associates arrested in Jammu’s Rajouri District

Security forces in J&K with recovered ammunition

RAJOURI: Security forces in Rajouri busted a terror module by arresting two terror associates and recovering arms and ammunition from their possession.

According to a statement issued by Jammu-based Defence spokesperson Lt Col Suneel Bartwal said that  “A relentless intelligence-based joint operation was launched by Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in Budhal area on December 6,”. He added that during this operation, two terror associates had been apprehended. The army spokesperson further informed that arms and ammunition were recovered along with incriminating material from the arrested terror associates. The recovery included a pistol, two pistol magazines, 28 rounds, two hand grenades, and other war-like stores.

A Senufo police official from Jammu while talking to The New Indian said, “Security forces were following several leads after a November 17 encounter at Behrote Gali in Budhal in which one terrorist was killed by forces. During the investigation, while developing the leads, forces developed some more leads by which forces succeeded in zeroing in on the two terror associates and recovered arms, ammunition, and incriminating material from their possession.”
