NEW DELHI: The bustling metropolis of Delhi and its adjacent areas, including Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Gurugram, were rattled by earthquake tremors on Thursday afternoon. The seismic event, with a magnitude of 6.1, originated from Afghanistan, as reported by the National Center for Seismology.

At 14:50:24 IST, the earthquake hit, with its epicenter located at a latitude of 36.48 and longitude of 70.45, at a depth of 220 km in Afghanistan. The news sent shockwaves across the National Capital Region (NCR), as residents in Delhi and its satellite cities felt the ground shake beneath them.
